Trade fair report 4th Cologne Businessday

- field report.

Cologne Businessday

The 4. Cologne Business Day in the premises of theCologne Chamber of Industry and Commerce was of course a real home game for us. Under the title"Industry 4.0 - the company of tomorrow", visitors were able to take part in free lectures and workshops on the topics of digitalisation, social media & communication - reason enough to present our company again this year with a stand in the Börsensaal of the IHK in Cologne.

Since this one-day event only lasts from 12:00 to 17:00 and the set-up and dismantling had to take place on the same day, it was already clear beforehand that our own lightweight folding displays would be the most suitable for this in terms of set-up time and transport.

A short hand sketch for the stand visualisation was sufficient to plan the required equipment for this short appearance: A pop-up folding display ECO Textil, a no-frame promotion counter, a modern Roll-up as well as our new wooden displays should definitely find their place - as well as a foldable brochure stand with our hot-off-the-press catalogues and, on the promotion counter, two digital picture frames/media centres with some image and product videos.

The set-up

Cologne Businessday 2

The entire stand equipment including catalogues was transported in my car (Ford S-Max). Arriving at the IHK at 9:00 am, we (my colleague Martin and I) unloaded and set up the entire equipment in about 20 minutes - whereby the walk to the car park probably took the most time. Of course, I would have gone alone, but those who know the parking situation in Cologne rely on teamwork, at least when it comes to setting up. The actual setting up of the displays was, as always, uncomplicated and quickly done.

The event

The visitors and exhibitors could look forward to numerous interesting presentations. The 4th Cologne Business Day received prominent support from patron Hannelore Kraft (Minister President of North Rhine-Westphalia, who unfortunately was not present due to a cold). On the other hand, Armin Laschet, state chairman of the CDU in North Rhine-Westphalia, and Günther H. Oettinger, EU Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, were given time to speak on the main stage.

During the event, our stand was very well visited, new contacts were made and we were also able to take some concrete enquiries home with us in this short time. Some visitors and also exhibitors naturally showed interest in our stand equipment - so the use of our mobile solutions was definitely worthwhile.

Conclusion

We will definitely be back next year!
